Last Friday, Rutherford and Kupe House collaborated to organise another exciting school carnival during lunchtime. With a variety of food, drinks, games and entertainment on offer, there was something for every student to enjoy at the carnival.

Both houses featured classic carnival fare foods such as hot chips, soda, sausage sizzle, popcorn, baked goods and bubble tea.

In addition, they also offered major fast food brands including Dominoes, Krispy Kreme, McDonald’s, KFC and Subway to offer students a range of snack options. Kupe House also sold cotton candy, much to the delight of students.

Beyond the food stalls, Rutherford House also set up a mini-golf course right outside the language block where students could putt to win prizes. They also organised a special area where students could take a break from the energetic, lively carnival environment to play with cute kittens, which proved to be a very popular attraction.

The school carnival saw an incredible turnout, with hundreds of students attending during their lunch break. Students were thrilled with the variety of snacks, games and entertainment on offer. “Kupe and Rutherford had a banger carnival,” said Emma, a Year 9 student.
